Process for Handling NICRC Recommendations
- Committee Chair makes formal recommendation to the
NRCS State Conservationist (STC), and/or FSA State Executive Director (SED),
and/or the RD State Director (SD).
- NRCS State Conservationist, and/or FSA State Executive
Director, and/or RD State Director reviews recommendations from the
Committee.
- NRCS State Conservationist forwards these
recommendations to the Office of Assistant State Conservationist (ASTC-Operations). FSA
State Executive Director forwards these recommendations to the
Administrative Officer; RD State Director forwards these recommendations to
the Administrative Programs Director (APD).
- The Assistant State Conservationist, Administrative
Officer and Administrative Programs Director coordinates the review,
consideration, and follow-through on the recommendations by:
- Convening a meeting with the Program Managers
and/or State Administrative Officers in order to obtain any further
clarification of the recommendations and to determine the area of
responsibility for each recommendation;
- Developing a proposed implementation plan
(including costs) if the STC, and /or SED and/or the SD were to approve
the recommendation;
- Preparing a written response for the STC, and/or
SED and/or SD, reflecting decisions and the implementation plan items
approved, sending a copy to the appropriate individual(s) for action;
and
- Informing the STC, and/or SED and/or SD of
progress and any problems, and informing the Committee as actions are
completed.
